When I was little, I asked my mom what was faster than the speed of light. I think my friend’s dad had been watching Star Trek while I was over and they talked about warp speeds on the show.

My mom said that the fastest speed is the speed of imagination. (Good answer, ma.)

So this was my understanding of universal speed limits when I was 10:

\text{light speed} \ll \, \text{ridiculous speed} \ll \, \text{ludicrous speed} \\ \qquad \lll \, \text{the speed of imagination}

I also tried to incorporate Warp Speeds into this ranking, but I could never figure out what warp was equivalent to Ridiculous Speed.
